I have been seeing Stacey since January of this year. I was going through a transition in my  personal life and professional life and she has helped me in so many ways. From the minute I walked into her office and even after just one session, I felt like I was talking to a friend and someone who genuinely cared about me. She is empathetic and compassionate and her positive energy and thinking go a long way. I always leave her sessions feeling empowered and ready to look at things in a positive way. She has helped me look at ways to make the most of stressful and difficult situations and has helped me with work and life balance. She has also helped me become happier in my every day life and in my relationships. I am extremely grateful that I found Stacey and I wish that people who were struggling with any issue had someone as great as Stacey to help them through their difficult time. She has changed my life for the better and I am very grateful!

I was looking for someone to talk to in order to improve myself and overall life. I found Stacey halfway through 2013 and am so happy with how our sessions have been progressing. I walk into her office excited to discuss the topic foremost on my mind and the conversation is both easy and deep. I walk out ready to take on the day and “problem” at hand. She reassures me that anything is possible, no dream is unreachable, and happiness CAN be yours. Her positive thinking is infectious and she helps me to ask questions of and about myself that I have never considered. She has helped my husband and I work through issues with our children and each other in a positive way and she never judges. My marriage, home-life, and relationship with friends and family feels very balanced; and I have Stacey to thank for that.

Stacey is truly the best life coach.  The impact she has made on my life is amazing.  When I walk into her office I often feel stressed and overwhelmed and she helps me focus, prioritize, relax and create “zen moments.” She gives me guidance that gives me the strength and confidence to handle situations outside of my comfort zone.  She is so easy to talk with and she has the  impressive ability to get to the root of a problem.  One of the most important values I learned from her was helping and connecting with my kids in all different situations.  She has enriched my life with my friends and family. I highly recommend Stacey as a life coach.  There is not a day that goes by that I’m not grateful or thankful for her.

For me, life became overwhelming.  Facing job stress, family stress, health issues, exhaustion, and lacking the ability to balance everything.  I sought out Stacey’s help.  I thank God for her every day.  Without her counseling, I would be an anxious, worrying mess, and would have missed out on one of the most exciting trips of my life.  She has given me the tools I need to help me deal with the every day stressors.  She has helped me develop a calmness inside of me, within my head and within my heart that I have never had before.  She is guiding me to become a better and more positive person, and encouraging me to strive for a happier life.Through her excellent hypnotherapy technique, she has not only CURED my phobia and fear of flying, I actually think flying is FUN now!  That definitely came in handy for my long trip to Australia.  Both my husband and I could not believe my transformation.  Every time the plane took off, I though about how much I wanted to hug Stacey when I got back for helping me to remain so calm.  Thank you Stacey, for all that you have done to improve my relationships, my job, and my life.  For me, you are truly a Godsend.  You’re an angel.  God bless you!

I have been seeing Stacey Simpson on and off for almost 5 years. During those years I have been through some difficult times. Stacey has always been a positive force in my life. She has helped me through some very challenging relationship issues. She has also helped me develop life skills to handle everyday challenges and situations. Stacey has been extremely valuable in helping me identify and build on my strengths. With her support, I have also learned how to target areas to work on allowing for more personal growth. She always knows the right questions to ask, and offers the tools I need, so that I can see the positive steps that I need to take, which are often before me. No matter how I feel before going into therapy, I always feel much better when I leave. Stacey is encouraging, insightful and empathetic. If it were not for her I wouldn’t have been able to get through some of these tough times. I always appreciate her expertise and positive outlook. Because of her I am in a better place in my life. She has given me the tools I needed to be happy again, and I have taken the necessary steps to become a better person for myself and for those around me.

Stacey Simpson has been a positive force that has changed my life for the better. When I came to Stacey in November 2013, I was going through one of the most difficult times of my life. I have worked with other life coaches and no one else compares. It’s difficult for me to open up and from the moment I met Stacey, I felt comfortable telling her everything I was feeling and thinking. Her positivity, empathy, and ability to listen and offer guidance have helped to me to discover new paths in life that I would have never discovered on my own. No matter how stressed or anxious I’m feeling when I enter her office, I always leave feeling calm, centered, re-energized and ready to take on any challenge! The tips and tools she has given me have allowed me to better manage my work and personal life in a way I never thought possible. Having Stacey as my life coach has allowed me to enjoy life to the fullest and be the best person I can be for my family, friends, and those I work with. And for that, I am forever grateful!

Emily McHugh, Penn State student

Stacey helped me learn how to control and reduce my anxiety. As a college student, she taught me tips about how to improve time management and organizational skills. Stacey also helped me to better my relationships with my friends and family. I am so grateful that Stacey helped me to better transition into college.

Margaret Hearn, Server

Stacey is a wonderful counselor.  I have been working with her for nearly three years.  I went to her for help dealing with the deaths of several family members and friends that occurred within a short time, a difficult job transition, and tricky relationship issues.  She has helped me clarify my concerns, consider the best way to deal with them, and implement a plan of action to tackle my biggest problems.  Instead of feeling overwhelmed, she has shown me that I have the strength and internal resources to deal with everything.  I have confidence in her and know that I am getting good advice.  I like working with her because on the one hand, she is empathetic and easy to talk to so I am comfortable confiding in her, but on the other hand she always maintains a professional demeanor and is able to analyze my concerns with insight and objectivity.  Stacey has helped (and continues to help) me grow, have confidence in myself and my abilities, and take on whatever life throws at me.  I am a happier and healthier person for having worked with her.

Derek Clark, Drexel University graduate
I met professor Simpson in my junior year at Drexel University for Group Counseling courses. I randomly picked her because Drexel usually has a good pool to select from. My classmate on the other hand researches every professor she has.  I was more than excited when she informed me that we struck gold with Professor Simpson. From the first day of class until now, the treasures and gifts she has blessed me with in the form of coaching, words of encouragement and suggestions, has added value to my life experiences. Without much effort,
I am now writing in my gratitude journal regularly, and putting a check mark next to things on my bucket list. Accomplishing more now that I’m learning how to attract the people and experiences to me that will play a role in fulfilling my purpose in life. I am blessed to have met Professor Simpson because she has helped me develop leadership skills that I use in almost every area of my life. I honestly wouldn’t be who I am today had it not been for the contributions of Professor Simpson!

I don’t know how I can express how much this Intro to Holistic Studies Class has changed my life. My first week in class I told everyone I wanted to be as happy as my teacher Prof. Simpson, and needless to say they thought I was off my rocker.  I have accomplished a lot of soul searching with this class and it gave me a more positive outlook on life on a personal level and in all other ways.  The things I enjoyed was the positive energy from my teacher because she is such a wonderful teacher, and she gives back, which is very important.  I believe to us all.  Happify was something I was able to share in a fun way with my son.  The Tony Robbins video kept me smiling all day.  I am very interested in Reiki and the NLP program.  Overall, if there is one thing in my life that I can say has contributed to my overall happiness I would say it was this class.  All I can say is, “Thank You.”

Ashley Johnson, Drexel University graduate
There is so much to say about Professor Simpson! The surveys we complete after each class and ratings just aren’t enough! I remember attending Drexel University’s Orientation session, and they were talking about how they carefully select their faculty to make sure that we are getting the newest, and best information available from professionals who are currently working in the field and are ahead of the curve.  I don’t really know what my perceptions of the class were like going in, but leaving I was not expecting to leave with as much information and skills that I did. Unbeknownst to me, I applied for a job that I eventually got and currently work in the role as a Recovery Coach in which I also have the opportunity to facilitate an hour and a half long class. After EVERY single class, I say to myself: “Thank God for Professor Simpson and what she taught me!” – I came out much more confident and well prepared. Scared to death to facilitate beyond a practice 45 minute session, but in the end I was good because of what I knew. Just to think, I dreaded having to take the “Group Counseling” classes.  I’m so glad that I did take them and had been blessed with the opportunity to take her for both classes! It was an experience like no other and I always told my other schoolmates this was the class to be in! What she has given us still resonates until this day, and it’s one of the most talked about courses amongst my peers. Once I got halfway through the course, I dreaded it having to end. I didn’t want to leave! See the transition? Something magical was going on here! Outside of the class itself, I distinctly remember her giving us “gifts” whether it was a quote, something she admired about you or something that you could work on. These quotes and “gifts” still float around my head…and in my journal to this day. It’s always nice to have someone in your corner, that sees qualities in you that you possess that you either don’t know are there or you forget about due to the fact you get so caught up in your everyday life. I found myself fighting back tears in both classes because the words she spoke hit me in such a great way. I’ve been inspired by her to be a great student, but yet learning to let go and not having to get everything “just right”. I’ve learned its o.k. not to be perfect, because I am fine the way that I am! I was so inspired that I eventually got back to writing in which I haven’t done in over ten years. I eventually wrote a piece about my life that was featured all because of her. It’s absolutely amazing what a great college professor can do. Professor Simpson has an amazing spirit! Such a beautiful person inside and out. Even though I only know her as a Professor, I know that as a Counselor and Life Coach she is touching many lives and helping bring the best out in people. I love the ripple effect that occurs. It starts off with one person, that possess a gift or two, that then passes it along to another, which in turn prepares that person to be the best person they can be to then go out and share their gifts with another. (She said that once in a class!) Professor Simpson, Thank you for bringing out the best in me, and letting me know that I am o.k. the way that I am and that it is o.k. to let go and just go with the flow. I can’t begin to explain the many different ways you’ve touched and inspired me. As I actively work towards changes in my life, I have to give credit where it’s due.
Bianca Williams, Group Facilitator at Hall Mercer Psychiatric Clinic in Philadelphia

The two classes I took with Professor Simpson at Drexel University were Group Counseling I and II. In both classes the Professor taught about the various types of counseling groups as well as the different forms of therapeutic approaches used respectively.  As a teacher Professor Simpson  is extremely fair.  Professor Simpson stresses in her instruction the importance of being ourselves most importantly, which I felt really created an atmosphere  in which I felt more confident and yet able to become  more aware of where I needed to improve upon. As a result of working with Professor Simpson there are a number of extremely positive things that I have both experienced and learned.  Professor Simpson taught me that in order for one to be their “best self”, they must stop comparing themselves to others, and that being human is the greatest gift that one can give to another person in any setting especially in that of counselor and client.  In a counseling setting being rigid and feeling as though one must be serious at all times does the client a disservice. I learned that using humor can be just as effective and therapeutic as allowing the client time to tell their story. Last but certainly not least, I truly learned that as humans our fears and feelings are more alike than they are different and that diversity be in it race or story should only make us more favorable towards each other not fearful. I would more than highly recommend Professor Simpson as a teacher for Psychology, or any other professional or personal development classes. She is beyond skilled in what she teaches, and is certified in a variety of therapeutic and life building practices.

My name is Daisy Mackey, and it’s been a while since I last talked to you (in holistic health class at  Montgomery county community college in Fall 2011), but I just wanted to reach out and let you know that taking that class has been one of the best decisions I have made, and thank you for that. It’s helped me become more focused on my goals and make better connections with people. I made it into the Dental Hygiene program and will hopefully be graduating in May (and lots of the holistic practices I learned about from your class, frequently get brought up in clinic, by patients). So thank you again, for teaching that class well and making an impact.

Maureen K, English Teacher

I worked with Stacey Simpson for over a year. To say that she has helped me change my life for the better would be an understatement. We started working together to help me deal with mental health issues that I had been struggling with for about eight years. Before I had met Stacey, I had worked with several people, trying to get things on track. I was never able to create a connection with any of the people who were trying to help me. I truly felt that I was on my own, and would simply have to just live with things the way they were. From day one with Stacey, I felt at ease. Her energy was extremely positive, and her insights were always right on. I trusted her from the first time we met, and from that point on, I always knew that whatever she was suggesting I work on would be something that was going to help me. She always made me feel comfortable, as if I was talking to my best friend.

We worked with so many different techniques. She always promoted meditation, positive thinking, attracting the things that I want, as well as relaxation techniques to help me through my days. Whenever she read a book that helped her, or had gone to a conference that gave her new techniques, she would always share them with me. When she returned from a Tony Robbins conference, she had so many wonderful suggestions for helping me. She was so enthusiastic and excited to try what she learned herself. I have bought every book that Stacey has ever recommended, and have always been helped by the information that I obtained from reading them.

On days that Stacey and I could not meet, we would do phone sessions. At first I was unsure as to how helpful phone sessions would be. I assumed that by not being able to speak to her, person to person, it would not be as helpful. This was not the case. It was as if she was sitting with me wherever I was, while on the phone. I could still feel her positive energy, and her enthusiasm as we talked over the phone. She absolutely saved my life.  Even after I had worked through many of my problems, I continued working with Stacey.

Eventually, my boyfriend of about a year came in with me so that we could do some joint sessions to work on our relationship. Her compassion, understanding, and insight were endless. She helped us, and guided us to create a very deep and spiritual connection with each other. She helped us to communicate on the deepest levels. Before we started with Stacey, we loved each other, but did not know exactly how much. Before Stacey, we communicated, but not fully all of the time. Through Stacey’s constant help and intuition, we were able to find a happiness, and love together that almost seems unreal. About a month after we were working with Stacey, my boyfriend asked me to marry him. During our engagement, Stacey worked even harder to make sure that we were connected on the deepest levels. We are now married and we are so incredibly happy. Our life is like a fairy tale, and Stacey has been like our fairy godmother.

Stacey has helped me work on myself as a wife, as a teacher, as a friend, as a daughter, as a sister, and as a person who seeks to make a more pure and perfect life. The thought that she could be able to expand her horizons to help even more people, in the way that she has helped me, made me feel incredibly happy and at peace.

I have always wished that every friend of mine, every family member, and anyone struggling with themselves and their lives, could have someone as special as Stacey on their side to help them through their journey. The world would be a much happier, and more peaceful place to live if she could have the chance to touch the lives of others, in the positive way that she has touched, and changed my life.
